Chris Markou
Head, Operational Cost Management, IATA(Inviting)
Chris Markou is Head, Operational Cost Management for IATA's Operations department. Chris is working on Airline Operations Cost Management and Efficiency Improvement with emphasis on Maintenance Cost trends and benchmark.
Part of his focus is the “Paperless Aircraft Operations” initiative leading to worldwide acceptance of electronic records. Chris is the Secretary to several groups on cost benchmarking and aircraft leasing.
Before IATA, Chris worked at Delta TechOps. He held various positions in TechOps’ Strategy leading to General Manager for Technical Sales - Marketing.
Chris holds a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Tech and an Executive MBA from Emory University.
Hongbo XUE
Senior Manager,China Eastern Airlines Technics
Mr. Xue Hongbo was graduated from Civil Aviation University of China with a Master degree. He joined China Eastern Airlines in 2005, and took positions including line maintenance, overhaul regular inspection, safety quality management, leased aircraft management, aircraft reliability management
etc. Currently, he is the senior manager of Aircraft Reliability Department of China Eastern Technics. He’s very much experienced in aircraft leasing contract negotiation, return of operational leased aircraft, self-owned aircraft disposal and reliability management.
PENG Xiaofeng
Director, Asset Technical Service, AMECO
Mr. Peng now heads the Asset Technical Services department in AMECO.
He has over 15 years of management experiences in leasing and trading over 90 aircrafts, valued over 600 millions USD.
He builds up and leads the technical team to support aircraft leasing and trading in Air China for many years, which covers over 100 leased aircraft fleet management and 15-20 aircrafts retired annually in Air China. He is responsible for aircraft assessment and valuation, disposal cost budgeting and control, planning for aircraft disposal and delivery, technical term negotiation and delivery on-site etc.
Richard LUO
Engineering Director, Xiamen Aircraft Leasing
July 1996 – Oct. 2005: Air China, worked as a mechanic on line maintenance and hangar maintenance of Boeing 737-300 and BAE 146, supervisor in charge of engineering management and onsite technical support for B737-300 and Bae146 and in charge of 737-300/NG Aircraft Maintenance Program.
Oct. 2005 – Sep. 2011: works as technical consultant in aircraft leasing delivery and redelivery, I had been assigned for 27 aircraft’s delivery and redelivery
Oct. 2011 – Sep. 2012: Beijing Big White Bear Jet Aviation, worked as General Manager of Maintenance and Engineering Department, Established the maintenance group of the new company, and successfully applied CCAR-145 maintenance certificate and CCAR-135 operation certificate.
Feb. 2013 – Oct. 2016: works as technical consultant in aircraft leasing delivery and redelivery, I had been assigned for 17 aircraft’s delivery and redelivery, following are the detail of aircraft delivery and redelivery
Since Nov. 2016: works as technical director in Xiamen Aircraft Leasing.
LIANG Xiaoli
Technical Director, Aviation, Tibet Financial Leasing
Previously she worked for CCB Leasing as Technical Director of Aviation for two years and four months. Prior to joining CCB Leasing, Liang Xiaoli spent ten years at Air China Technics as the senior system engineer, and the Manager of Aircraft maintenance Program. From 1996 to 2005, Liang Xiaoli served Ameco as system engineer at Engineering Division.
Liang Xiaoli holds a bachelor’s degree of Northwest Poly-technical University and a Master degree of Civil Aviation Airworthiness Management in China Civil Aviation University.
Gareth Dyer
CEO, GVH Aerospace
Mr Gareth Dyer is a graduate of ADFA majored in Aeronautical Engineering, and subsequently was commissioned as an Engineering Officer in the Royal Australian Air Force. During his time with Defence, he served with the Directorate General of Technical Airworthiness, in Aircraft Structural
Integrity and Airworthiness Regulation respectively. He then served as a project engineer on the RAAF Hawk jet trainer project, assisting the introduction to service of the type and supporting several STCs and capability upgrades. He joined the Nova Systems in 2004, where he consulted on airworthiness and design of Aeromedical Evacuation capability rotary and fixed wing assets. In 2009, he moved to a Programme Management role with responsibility to deliver on Nova’s portfolio of rotary wing projects, In 2012 he moved to the UK to lead GVH Aerospace, Nova’s subsidiary Aerospace Design Organisation which holds EASA Part 21J, CASA Part 21M and CAAS 21H design organisation approvals in the UK, Australia and Singapore respectively. Gareth currently holds the dual roles of Chief Executive and EASA Head of Design for GVH Aerospace, overseeing both business operations
and delivery of design approvals and STCs across a broad range of civil fixed and rotary wing aircraft types.
