Mark McGivern
Aircraft Certification Specialist, FAA
Mark McGivern joined the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in 2003. He has worked as a Certification Specialist, Aviation Safety Inspector and Aviation Safety Engineer as well as acted as an adjunct instructor for the FAA Academy in Oklahoma City teaching FAA Part 21 and Airworthiness to both FAA employees and industry. He has worked all types of production and design approvals for the FAA in both the manufacturing and engineering roles and acted as the liaison between them.
Mark is a graduate of the FAA Certification Flight Test Engineer course at the National Test Pilot School, a Transportation Safety Institute Certified Accident Investigator, FAA licensed Commercial Pilot and A&P mechanic.
Prior to joining the FAA Mark spent time managing a machine shop as well as an Engineering Liaison for an FAA Part 121 air carrier. He obtained both his Engineering degree and MBA from Arizona State University.
